| Control,
processing, amplification, and a 12-inch subwoofer—all
in a space-saving bandpass enclosure.
The amplifier in this powered enclosed subwoofer
protects itself from over-heating, over-voltage
and over-current situations, short circuits,
short-voltage situations, and output DC conditions.
Its 12-inch speaker with its die-cast basket,
spring loaded terminals and high roll surround
pumps out loud, low bass that turns its bandpass
enclosure into a small concert.
With maximum
power rated at 2,000 watts the BP-112 has
no fear. RMS power is an equally impressive
400 watts . The power of the digital amplifier
is matched by its precision. Frequency response
is 5 to 350 Hz ±0.5 dB. THD is less than
0.8% with a 100-Hz signal into 4 ohms.
With RCA and high-level inputs,
the BP-112 can add bass to either aftermarket
or OEM systems. The RCA input can be adjusted
for signals ranging all the way from 1.0 to
6.0 volts, and the high-level input can handle
signals from 1.0 to 12.0 volts. Polarity may
be set to 0 or 180 degrees to fine-tune the
reproduction of deep bass. To make sure that
the BP-112 reproduces the bass that matches
your other speakers, its low-pass filter can
be set for any frequency between 50 and 300
Hz (with a filter slope of 12 dB per octave).
Bass boost centered at 40 Hz can be set for
as much as 10 dB… if you can take it.
The 6-foot wired remote lets users stay at
a safe distance, and control current is a
relatively safe 2 mA. The amplifier's frequency-response
variation and its distortion are inaudible. |
