Tactile transducers, called “bass shakers,” are designed to transmit subsonic bass frequencies that can be felt and heard. By mounting the device on a couch or chair, the vibrations produced can be transferred to the body, providing a tactile sound experience. In some cases, tactile transducers can even replace traditional subwoofers, especially when headphones may be necessary to avoid disturbing others. Tactile transducers can be connected to the LFE output, which is also used by conventional subwoofers. These devices are powered by an amplifier, such as the Class J XJ-300ST, that provides a powerful and precise low-frequency effect. The tactile transducer seamlessly integrates and enhances the audio experience when paired with an existing subwoofer.
